Entry: Finish Liao! Thursday, June 09, 2005

There is only one way to describe how I feel right now:

And there is only one way to describe how I handled the Chemistry paper 6: Cincai boncai. ARGHHHH. I just hope the rest of the papers will give me face.

5 minutes before the chemistry paper 2 ended, I couldn't stop staring at the clock knowing that I am only 5 minutes away from at least 8 months without an academic life. I've never had holidays that were longer than 2 months since I started kindergarten in 1991. The 8 months holiday has arrived. 3 of which I will be away tracking through mud and eating chillis, but I'll be looking forward to blogging from Gombak. I will send my journal entries to my brother who will blog it out religiously for me. Hehehe.

l-r: Lie Yuen, Siau Ying, Shi Wen and Me.

l-r: Han Chung, Shi Wen, Siau Ying, Garrick and Dar Vin.

You would not have guessed where we ended up after our papers ended.

After PMR also same place, AFTER SPM also same place. I think if my mum allowed me to go out with my friends when I was in standard 6, I think I'd be there too after UPSR.

Sunway Pyramid. Again. And I'm hoping to go to Monash University next year. And after my finals in Monash, guess where will I go?

Yes!! We've finally watched Star Wars!! Us poor A-levels' folks.. I am still learning to retrive bits and pieces of my value as a human being in this society. I have forgotten how to be normal.

Oh my bleeding brain..*holds head*. I haven't had enough sleep as I only got home about 12.30am yesterday. YES. I'm living life!

For the first time since I got my driving license, I actually took a bus back from Sunway Pyramid as I didn't want to trouble my classmates by getting them stuck in the Subang jam.

It hsa been a long while, my old friend.

I realised that it has been too long since I took a bus. I went up to the conductor and asked him, "Pergi SS14, kan??" and he said, "Yayaya..". So I happily got on to the bus and sat at the backseat and we all know sitting at the back of a bus means you get a free horse ride. Bumping along, I realised we missed the turning into SS14 at the roundabout. I thought, "Fine, it's ok. There's always the turning into SS18." But no, the bus did a u-turn opposite the Balai Bomba Subang Jaya and fearing that I'll end up on the Federal Highway... this is where I got off:

Mother fucking bus conductor.

I was fortunate that I was only a 10 minutes walk away from Esther's house. So up the long road I trudged. My own house was 20 minutes away. Poor Esther would have to take her silver charriot and send me home. hehe, thanks girl!

Metrobus, I'm very disappointed in you.

Esther's house is at the end of this road. Not fun at all.

I always wondered how will I celebrate the end of my A-levels course. I never thought it would involve walking along a lonely stretch of road because I took a wrong bus and baking under the sun along the way.

My savior, Esther Phan!! Poor girl still has until Friday.. hehe.

After dinner, out I went again! Went to Kimpachi with Barry, Min Dee and Chien. It's quite sad as not everyone has finished A-levels so, it was only us. E-guy, Nigel, Chang Song went for Dota. .. ...  .............. ...

It's a nice place. Pretty obscured as you wouldn't think that a row of slightly run down shop houses in SS17 would have such a quaint little Japanese restaurant.

Me and Min Dee.

HAHAHAHHA PRICELESS. They weren't ready...
l-r: Chien, Barry.

Here's a nicer picture, albeit a little dark.

As for me, I was on a budget. So just plain ol' Chawanmushi for me. ;\

By the way, Min Dee being Min Dee was laughing so hard and she accidentally poked the magazine she was holding into her gums. So to speak, she got a papercut on her gums! ROFL. She doesn't allow me to put up the entire pic so I had to crop it out. According to her, she doesn't want to look like a dinosaur. So sorry yea, Min Dee. It's just a cropped photo of your tiny teeth..:) Don't kill me!

This is from the same photo as the one above. I had to crop out the blood stains! Haha.. min dee min dee.

We left Kimpachi at about 11.15pm and adjourned to Chien's place to scour her vast dvd collection. I came back with 12 titles. I'm DAMN free.

Don't blame me, I have 8 whole months.

Now that I don't need my A-levels notes anymore, it'd be a good idea to get that fire going. We're thinking of doing that at the class party tonight. A bonfire would be nice to end the torturous one and a half years.

By the way, I have a sorethroat. Must be all those late nights.

However, I still feel like this:

Whee!

p/s: To all those curious people, Kubunudu is actually a word my close friends and I accidentally created while having lunch at McDonalds SS19 one lazy Friday afternoon back in 2001.

We were encouraging Dennis to persue Su-Hsien(hehe, those were the days) and Dennis got frustrated and said something that he would say to Su-Hsien when he saw her. He had a mouthful of fries at the same time. I was like, "What?! Kubunudu?"
And then they all fell about laughing and asked me, "What's Kubunudu?"  and I said, "Don't know, Dennis said he'll say Kubunudu to Su-Hsien when he sees her?"

Apparently, it was a mumbled "You can do it!" that came out sounding like Kubunudu to me. It was too funny sounding and we ended up laughing the entire McDonalds down. I can still remember the tummy aches. Jiun Jeh was laughing so hard that he choked on his coke.

From that day on, it was like our thing to say to each other when times are bad. Sort of like a word that will assist us through any rough patches. It has stuck ever since.

Kubunudu Pronounced: Koo-Boo-Noo-Doo.
Origin: An incoherent phrase comprising of "You can do it," through a mouthful of McDonald's French Fries.
1. A show of encouragement
2. A word to tickle the funny bone of those who understand.

Kubunudu to the rest of those who are still sitting for their examinations.
