Entry: Malaysia's as old as my dad! Tuesday, August 31, 2004

Attempted studying physics notes at about 11.59pm while awaiting my tea to brew..(late night, tonight). In the distance, my brother and I heard someone shout, "merdeka!merdeka! merdeka!" .. I said, "oi senyap la..!" and then mervyn and I started to sing the Keranamu Malaysia song unconciously. Then we heard loud bangs outside..(like every other year.). Every year, we would rush up to my parents' bedroom window and strain to look for the fireworks in vain.

But today,we actually walked down to the bottom of our row..(ahem, big girl, big boy adi) and there it was, huge displays of colourful sparks just a distance away from us. Sunway is quite near,come to think of it:) Must be very huge over there if it's big enough for me over here.

Happy Merdeka, everyone! :) I love all the merdeka commercials on telly... esp those by Petronas.. always make me close to tears. :P

Stayed up till about 4am last night looking at the NS list..(only at that time will the traffic be so smooooth..).Spent hours laughing at other unfortunate souls.. and was shocked to find:

1. Benjamin Lau ('damn famous' guy since he entered my school in form1(2000))
2. Loo Jo Lin (one of my first friends who was in the form below me)
3. Zachary Tan (my sort of childhood friend.. same moral class in std3..ber-pts-pts together-gether..same tuition right up till std6..basically good friends..and he's already in US!.poor guy)
4. Lee Yang Ching (my kindergarten best friend...!)
5. Lok Weng Lum (a guy from SJ who's in Taylor's now, who i never knew was a Pts!)
6. Ng Hoi Yew. (I THINK it's my kindergarten crush.. been hoping to see how he's grown in the past 11 years..lol lol.. I took down his address. Will send him a mail soon and verify this. :P )
7. Citrine Ho (Jade's sister. Must run in the family)

NS is almost like friendster!

And I amazingly woke up at 10.00am! wow!
