Pre-PPS Bash Blog Meet At 10am.

After walking back to the car twice to see if I locked it, I finally made my way up to the food junction in Midvalley Megamall. I thought I was late since it was 15 minutes after 10am.

I saw Peter Tan  from a far waving at me. I made my way over and was introduced to another blogger who goes by the nick Bkworm.

It's strange, meeting these bloggers. Upon approaching the group you introduce yourself using your online identity. I'm known as Jayelle, obviously. It's weird!

But that's the beauty of blog meets. You put a face behind the blogs you read. Although there are some of us who don't read each others' blogs so we try to come up with small talk and make a mental note to go home to catch up on his/her blogs.

All in all it was a fun one, it being my very first blog meet.

Me and Bkworm.

l-r: Tangerine, Joanna(Bkworm's daughter). By the way, Tangerine says he's 21 years old this year!

l-r: Hunting The Snark, Tangerine

l-r: Mystiqangel, Peter Tan

The turnout was pretty good!

l-r:Pennypupz and me!

l-r: Yee Pei,Ireneq, Hunting The Snark

The very very famous Jeff Ooi. Him, Penny and I, being Subang people, bitched about the traffic back home.

l-r: Ireneq, Me, Tangerine

l-r: Peter, Hunting The Snark. Hunting The Snark was asked by Peter to come in his "full gear" ..hence, *gestures at photo*.

Teaching Peter the art of camwhoring!

top l-r: Me, Kelvin, Pennypupz
bottom l-r:Suanie, Peter.

l-r:Eyeris(see, I'm so nice!), Suanie,Alan Wong . Hehe, Eyeris, have to mosaic your shirt as well. Later people can recognise your shirt, how?

Initially Eyeris posed for almost all the photos like that.

Left with Pennypupz and Kelvin to grab some lunch and talked a hell lot about our mutual friends. The fact that she is from Subang too and is 17 this year should explain alot why we got on so well. Despite this being the first time we've met each other.

Frankly, everyone is so different from their blogs. I have to admit that I only read a handful of them, that being Eyeris, Ireneq, Jeff Ooi, Peter Tan, Suanie, Pennypupz and Dustyhawk.

Thanks Peter for organising such a fun meet, it's a good prelude to the PPS 2nd Anniversary Birthday Bash.

Good Morning, Sunshine!

It's 7.41am as I'm typing this. Don't believe the time recorded by my blog, I have yet to learn how to tweak that. Can you believe I woke up at sunrise?!

I haven't got off from my bed yet though. But if you must know, I'm feeling alot better today. No weird mood swings, no more rude snaps, no more one liners in MSN...and I strive for better hair today. Peace.

I removed my previous post(it was posted at about 2am) as I don't want to feel like I'm being pretentious or anything. Acting all angry and 'messed up', because really, it WAS the medication. They've changed the cough mixture to some other weird concoction this time around. It tastes less weird, but yucky nonetheless.

Things to look forward to today would be the crazy hour blog meet organised by Peter Tan. 10am on a Sunday morning is still a Saturday for most. If there are similiar crazy people who are awake in time to read this AND before 10am, do drop by at the Food Junction, Megamall..at, yes, 10am. As for me, I will lug my ass off the bed at approximately 8am and brush my teeth, wash my hair, scrub my body with a turqoise loofah, dry my hair, straighten my hair, fret about what to wear, laze around abit more, scream at the time and rush down the Federal Highway to Megamall at 10.15am.

Then there's next week's trip to Malacca and the stayover that Chien generously asked me to at KL. I'll be driving down to Malacca and I'm surprised my Dad only said, "Why give us trouble? I hope you remember
your previous incident," followed by a "Drive down as soon as the sun rises," an hour later. WHEEEeeeEEE!!

I hope we don't get lost around Malacca. We just want to play tourists. We'll be donning cute hats and will speak in foreign languages. Since we don't know any we'll be creating some on the way there. Kubunudu will be thrown in. Myjojogobad(courtesy of Dennis Chan The Man) as well.

Even though I go back to Malacca about 6 or 7 times a year, I don't usually go into town and do the tourist thing. I've never seen A'Famosa in my entire life. Not that I'm planning to, but I'm just explaining my situation here.

Since I'm feeling better now, I feel a little regretful being sarcastic to my mother throughout yesterday. I'll be nicer today. I'll come home early from the meet, help her hang the clothes, hold on to Angel when she throws the rubbish heck, I'll even throw the rubbish and basically do the chores she forces upon me.

Oh yeah! Happy Father's Day to all the Daddies in the world! My daddy is still asleep though, guess I'll only wish him when I get back from Midvalley.

Mel asked me if I would like to apply for an internship with Seventeen. It would be such a fun experience but I'm really all about the money. I've been thinking though, the experience would be so fun. But given that amount of time, I could be doing something far more lucrative so I can fill up my bank account again. Perhaps I might decide to dedicate one month of my holidays to experience the fun of working for a magazine. For the mean time, thanks Mel but I think I'll pass.

Dad zoomed in on me seeing that I am now officially done with college to come up with points for a "Men, they cannot live without women," debate that he will be in. Some toastmaster's thing. He said he was for it. Fair enough. *rubs palms in glee*. Time for some man bashing.

I hope my father won't be too observant to know that he might be reading about himself and about the other men in my life. Hohoho, look at me. I make it sound like I'm such an experienced woman. LOL. He will probably only read about my observations of him and my grandfather. Maybe I'll throw my brother in as well. "He cannot live without his nightly ear diggings from his mommy, therefore, he cannot live without her, a woman".

Don't kill me Mervyn...so I'll play fair: My mommy digs my ears too at night and it rocks!!

There, now I don't have anymore friends. :(

The Aftermath

I know I should be updating more since I am now officially unemployed. Being officially unemployed sucks because money keeps going out and none is coming in.

My latest pointless purchase is a new pair of RM29.90 goggles that I bought from the convenience store at the club when I THOUGHT I lost my old speedos one. Someone please shoot me. RM30 gone like that. Shit.

Remember my sorethroat? I went to the doctor yesterday and he confirmed that my fever has reached a maximum of 38.5 degrees celcius. That explains the migraine and the hot air pumping out of my nostrils. I feel like a dragon. It's leaking too. Warm mucus. Sticky warm mucus. *reaches for a tissue* He said that sleeping at nearly 4am for the past two weeks or so has finally caught up with me. He also asked me to do actuarial science as it is a good course.

Yes,we chatted about my education even. Not weird because I have been going to this doctor since I was 1 years old. That was when I started living in Subang Jaya.

Let me recap the past two days' events.

There was the A-levels' class gathering where we had dinner at Shakey's in SS12 before adjourning to Han Chung's house to watch tv and play loads of card games. Followed by swimming the following morning at 10am. Remember, I have a slight fever? Why am I so effing stubborn, WHYWHYWHY?? Swimming made it worse.

It was only Jocelyn, Dar Vin and I who went swimming. We're the only ones who are crazy enough to wake up at 9am(yea right). It was worth it though as the pool was so empty! We started chatting with a woman who had her daughter dressed up in a strawberry swimming costume. With a cap and everything. So cute! She looked like a little strawberry.

Now, her daughter is only four but she was already asking us which secondary school should she send her daughter to. She is, of course, considering Sri KL. Jocelyn and I filled her in on our perspective of the students in the upper secondary. We did warn her about how in the later years the fees will sky rocket.

But I don't think that fazed her seeing that she brought along a maid to watch over her daughter while she herself did her laps. At 10am on a working day.

We told her that saving up for college and university is far more important because that's exactly what we're going through. Money is such a woe now. Government school ok what?? We turned out fine, didn't we?

However, I did recommend my old kindergarten to her though.

Most of the A-levels folks would be partying the night away RM70 poorer at Zouk last night. I think a few people indirectly expressed their disapproval at me not going since "everyone will be there". Don't want lar. Frankly speaking, I only know enough A-Levels people to fill up one and two thirds of a classroom. It's just not as .. close knitted..like how school was. Since I do not drink and I hardly know anyone, I have spared you all from a long embarassing photoblog about my "first outing at Zouk."

However, there MIGHT be one next week. Heh. Much to Chien and Hsien's disdain.

I spent last night clinic-->mamak-->McD's hopping with Esther and Mel. It was good enough company but I wasn't feeling too good because the cough was bad and the temperature was high. We were being non-sensical again as usual, hence, photos galore.

At Shakey's Pizza.
l-r: Han Chung, Garrick,Dar Vin, Hwee Yin, Gan, Jocelyn, Jia Lin, Lie Yuen, Siau Ying, Me and Diana.

Mine and Siau Ying's funky bracelets.

Han Chung is smiling for my camera! First time!! :D

Camwhoring with Diana.

Jocelyn and Me.

This is definitely an amazing feat. My highest number was four. This time it's eight. I aim for 10 next!

top l-r: Lie Yuen, Siau Ying, Hwee Yin and Diana.
bottom l-r: Shi Wen, Jia Lin, Jocelyn, Me and Gan

l-r: Jia Lin and Jocelyn

l-r: Chien, Me and Fong

L-r: handphone, coke, me.
The guys bought SO much of coke. We only managed to finish 1/8 of the coke they bought.

l-r: Me and Fong.

I had a dream about Fong last night. All of us were in Physics and Mr. Vara asked him a question. He started to raise his voice as he was giving Mr. Vara the answers. Strangely, Mr. Vara didn't ask him to calm down. So Fong kept raising his voice and shouted out his answers and I turned around and saw Fong bending over. He looked like he was about to puke. He stood up and walked to the front of the class puking all the way! I was so disgusted that I tried to move to the side of the class but too late, his puke splashed all over and ALOT of it got onto my clothes.

A piece even landed on my tongue. I wanted to puke myself. But even in my dream I didn't want to break my record of not puking in the past 9 years.

The piece tasted salty. I know, how the hell?! My theory is that my tongue was making contact with the tissue paper I was holding in my hands before I went to bed. Snot and all. Anybody still wants to be my friend? Hm?

Back to the dream, I went to the toilet and washed up and EWWWWWWW.. he had green jello for his last meal!! I had to scrape it off my white shirt. Ughh.. but after awhile it didn't feel so disgusting. I even managed to swallow that piece of green jello on my tongue because it got stuck in my throat when I wanted to spit it out. (Don't worry, the tissue paper is still intact. It was all in the mind.*taps temple*)

l-r barry, Fong, Rudi andd Me. Chien, I will have to train you in the art of phototaking.

l-r: Rudi and Me.

Mad Gan

Card games always lighten up any gatherings.

Han Chung thought me how to play Speed. It is a fun game. He is a sore loser.

Rudi says, "101 Ways To Show You're Bored."

l-r: Barry and Fong. This Barry likes taking pictures, but he never poses for my camera.

l-r: Chien, Gan, Jocelyn. This is one of the many many many many photos of their attempt at camwhoring. Go find the photos in my shutterfly account if you guys want to keep em.

The following night....

At Mel's house after we painted our nails.

Mel's baby cousins have this weird sense of humour whereby they cut out funny funny faces and paste them onto unsuspecting mugs of magazine models with scotchtape. Jealousy starts young, no?

Of all the places to camwhore... Dr. Jeya's clinic in SS19.

The amount of drugs I'll be taking is horrifying.

Since I haven't had dinner, I thought four half boiled eggs would be good. I was so disgusted that they served it in a cup. EWwww. Have they not heard of saucers?

The eggs there were seriously weird. They were far too soft to be half boiled eggs. I applied too much pressure on one and UGHHhhh.... egg yolk and egg white on my wallet, on my thighs, on my shorts, on my slippers. How utterly embarassing. The other mamak patrons were looking on as I wiped embarassing white goo(*snigger, snigger*) off my thighs.

After Mel fished out the egg shell remnants and helped me crack the remaining two eggs, we now have four half boiled eggs, ready for consumption.

It looks friggin disgusting though. But I did not eat anything for dinner. THIS was dinner. It sucks being sick.

Done. I feel like hurling again.

Next stop: Fries at McD's!! Hehe, what a simple yet enjoyable way to spend a Friday night.

Mel and Esther camwhoring while I drove them home.

Meet Tikki, Mel's aunt's shih tzu. :)

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.

Hey, rhymes!
