Koosh Ball Killer

My brother killed our 8 year old Koosh ball!!! *sob* He thought it'd look cute sitting on his yellow lamp bulb.. it's gonnneee.... it's a puddle of goo now... *wAiLLssSss*!!

Yesterday was Melissa's birthday bash. Abby and Kenneth came early as they had no means of transport to get there at 7. Dressed too casually...arrived at Melissa's at about 2pm..! Thank goodness my mum's been there like nearly three times already! Melissa's house is beautiful!!! Mindee and Amanda arrived shortly after and we proceeded to make Konyaku jelly with strawberries and longan! YuMmmm! Liss forgot to tell me that she needed more (mould)trays... so we used cookie trays...I guess it was okay, but of course, jelly trays are much nicer to use. The konyaku looked SoooOoo pretty because the strawberry gives out a reddish colour and it would remind you of the kalium heksasianoferat(III) experiment..but in a prettier shade of red. Fortunately Liss thought of having a steamboat party which means that there was not much need for preparation of food stuff. Her mother had this herbal soup concoction in this gigantous pot (at least 40-50cm tall). It was made up of pork ribs, kei chi, red dates, soya bean and foo chuk! Mmmmmmmmmm!!! It was the steamboat soup!

For most of the time us girls were downstairs bustling about with our konyaku business whereelse Kenneth was upstairs with Nicholas giving him guitar lessons! Then they came down two hours before the party to set up a barbecue stand. Nicholas barbecues the BEST sausages! When you bite into it, it'll crunch into a soft inside. So delicious!!! And prawns! They were barbecuing prawns too!!! Back in the house we were busy bringing out the food onto the dining table. At 7pm, no one has arrived. Thanks to the lousy jam and the confused decisions on directions. We started without them and MAnn!! Was the food delicious or what? I had bowls after bowls of that wonderful herbal soup. Stood up to make space for the others when they started to pile in from 7.30pm onwards. Oh well, better late than never!

At first it was very quiet. Very strange for a bunch of people who knew each other so well..! Brought out the beautiful konyaku jelly to fish for compliments on our hard work. Liss's Dad was using his video camera and filming everyone's antics. After dinner, we all went into her tv room to watch the video that he has made. It was SOOOOO embarassing. Every scene that I was in had me holding a bowl/a plate/sausage/prawn.. Then previously the guys put tons of chilli into Chin Ju's bowl when he went away to the toilet. Little did they know that it was all recorded on liss's dad's video cam!! LOLLOLLOL!

After the party, I expected to have to do a huge amount of cleaning up but surprisingly the maid that they have is very efficient. So I proceeded upstairs to clean myself up instead. Then Nicholas challenged me to a few rounds of GT, tony hawk pro skater 3 and CTR. Haha.. oh god how I suck! Even Liss can beat me at CTR. Malu-nye!! At least there was Abby the Newbie for a consolation. :) Then Nicholas took out his guitar and we had a good ol' singing sesh. Managed to call it quits at about 3.30am. We slept horizontally on Liss's queen-sized bed. Started on a long rambling on TVB actors and some Homecoming casts with Liss. Abby started to snore almost immediately. That boring huh, Bby? Then we were discussing about the shallow people we know/used to know/thank god we do not know. Then we got to Kwo Kuang who is cheeky 24/7 and we suspected that it could be a facadé to who he really is deep down. A real good boy. Then I was trying to be philosophical and started to say something like, "I think there's a layer of....(I wanted to continue like this: hard and elastic surface to his otherwise more sane interior..or something)" but it came out sounding abit eerie and appeared to be referring to something that is happening at that very moment(nothing was).. and Liss and ABby screamed and jumped onto poor middle Jolene.. they thought I saw a layer of something. Scaredy cats. Kept talking, talking until I reached the point of asking them if they are afraid of closing car doors due to static... I guess I must've been really really sleepy. I think we went to bed at about 6am. Had to wake up the following day at 8am as my mum was coming at 9am.

Slept at practically anywhere possible. liss's living room, mum's car, home sofa, coffee shop table, auntie's house..
My Aunt brought me to this place near Glenmarie called The Beauty Shoppe.. and I bought soooooo many warehouse sale-priced items...!! RM5 for a bottle of Orly nail polish!!

My driving theory test is this Sunday! NooooOOoooo!!!

Backpacking

Kyle came over to my place at a very unearthly hour and lepak-ed for awhile till 10am before picking Esther up! My dad found out that Kyle was in my room and was quite shocked.. Anyway.. escaped to Villa and turns out that Barry was "sorry, doing passport in Shah Alam" and Adrian was "ei, mum went off di..sorry ya" and Min Dee's phone Qwas off.

So it only Esther, Kyle and I. Then off we went badminton-ing, just the three of us. It was great fun actually.. Hit a few balls then sat down to listen to Kyle's stupid Seafield stories..lol.. What a laugh. It's so sad how he got kicked out of his previous gang. They actually called for a "Tribal Council".. Then we went down to the gym.. used alittle of their facilities and basically sat on the floor for most of the time and exchanged more stupid stories.

Went to the pool and tested the water. Even with our hands it was freezing cold (Downpour in the morning).. so we decided to have an early lunch at SS15. Which means walking to 15! So off we went on our adventurous journey ala backpackers across Europe.. and we reached Burger King..!

After lunch (I'm RM26.50 poorer. Pay up people!). Esther walked home, Kyle waited for his mom and I took the bridge and waited for a bus. As soon as the bus dropped me at SS14, Kok Yuen and Vern Lynn appeared in a brownish purplish proton Saga and dropped me home. What a wonderful coincedence!

Thank god for lovely afternoon naps.
I love my afternoon naps so much!

Just now my dad gave me a tremendous shock! He said that for my 17th Birthday, he's giving a prodigy supplementary credit card with a limit of RM500..and that I'll have to pay for my own bills.
Hmm! It'll come in handy when I go fill the tank and have meals at nice places(then can manja parents to pay for them..hee!).. but then, constant cash flow...wherever from?!?

Cash Flow(ing away)

Had the Undang ceramah yesterday.. and I didn't know it could be SO boring?! The night before Elizabeth, Esther and I fell asleep at 7am, 3.30am and 3.45am respectively. Just imagine, we had to sit for a 5 hour course the following day. Elizabeth and I were like dozing off here and there. Gosh, how embarassing. Plus the fact that the class has like about 20 people in it. This driving school's offices are in containers. Poor people. Tight budget. We basically learnt about what are the offences and how many points would be deducted from our .. Probation thingie....and road signs and such. Poor Elizabeth was told off by the lecturer. He even took out what scarily resembled a cane. I was "fishing" as Esther has put it, but thank god I took a 15 minutes nap. Was a little bit more refreshed! They have this cute little blue card which contains our information and such on a chip. So interesting. I feel so important:P

Went to Summit at night for dinner and received a call from Min Dee which was SO depressing. She told me that she, Abby, Amanda, Barry, Kay Hong and Kevin dialled in to this NS number thing, and found out that they were in. After being critically depressed for a good hour or so(and frantic phone calls to the whole world..).. I was told that it was just the list of qualifying candidates. I thought that I had to start college all alone=(

Today I went to midvalley with my Aunty coz she needed to go see this doctor about her breast surgery. Well, while she was at the clinic I walked around Midvalley alone. It was quite packed for a Monday. Went into MPH and once again the quest to look for Nail Up the Jap Nail Magazine is not a success. So off I went to look at Nose..! I really really wanted that sequinned thong(it's a type of Shoe, You Pervert!) when I saw it Sungei Wang but thought it was too casual.. and after a week of agonizing over my stupidity to not go for the spur of the moment, I was so happy to see it in midvalley!! I wanted the white one, but nevermindlar.. the turqoise one is just as nice:) Then I went to Bonita and OHMIGOD... Rm10 for a pair of dangly earrings?! I bought TWO! And I blew RM60 on fucking Maxis TopUp Card... Sheesh.(Stupid NS Sms Service). Or not I would've gone for the shorts from Labelz. Midvalley, the shopping Haven.

I looove My NeW thOnGs..!! And I also love my Roxy Flip-Flops!!!.. And I also LoooOoove my ladies Walker DenIm Skirt..!! AnD most of all I love my Acer Travelmate 290!!*HuGs IsabeLLa LoLLitA(my laptop's name)*

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.

Hey, rhymes!
