Can I Scream?

Barry told me my blog was dull.

I am so going to spice it up. I've spent hours online trying to get the perfect midi (I've settled on Brandy's The Boy Is Mine), uploading the beautiful images of Douglas Lim and Carlos Ng..in vain and am still trying to learn how to change the background colour. But I have settled for the templates that they have. Whatever.

With my new obsession, I only climbed into the warm sheets at approximately 5.10am yesterday.

If it wasn't for esther, I would not have to wake up in the middle of the night (1 o'clock in the afternoon) today. I nearly received an earful of "JO!! TURN OFF YOUR STUPID ALARM!!" and a little of "JOLENE!! WAKE UP IT'S 11AM". MY dad can't stand my alarms.(Yep, one alarm, one handphone). Nokia, they have the worst kind.

The family and I were invited over for a Hari Raya visit by the Malay family next door. These people have been living for nearly two years..(through the times when we were thinking that they were actually extreme arrogant human beings and there they were thinking that grandma was actually our foreign maid[they dare not predict the nationality]. Grandma says that she is quarter Burmese or summat. Great granddad was a former lover of the Queen of Siam or summat. Always claimed that she was this close to being a princess as when her dad passed away, the queen wanted to capture her and bring her back to the palace so that she could see her lover in my grandma's face everyday. Okay. But I don't think Alzheimer's  strikes someone at 65?)

As we walked into the house, the brother and I reminisce about 1995. 8 years ago there was this Persian man who lived there with his Indian wife. They had a niece who comes over during the weekend. 6-year-old Mervyn would often be chased around the house and then pinned to the ground for a good one sided make out session by the little Punjabi girl. My memories of her was staying over at her aunt's place with her and got really hungry together in the middle of the night and found a packet of uncooked spaghetti on the bedside table(whatever were they doing in a bedroom in the first place) and had a nice time making little stick-cum-spaghetti human beings while munching on some overselves.

Back to the Malay family, they are actually quite nice people! A whole family of teachers. Plus they are all teaching in the same university. They have a son who reminds me of my tuition mate, Zul. This guy's quite friendly and not bad looking. Now why haven't I seen him around before? Guys like these are hard to come by especially among my dad's friends' sprogs. I mean I've seen a fair amount of teenage boys who are sons of family friends who carries the usual baggage of teenage angst or rather the Nicholas Chan Shyness Syndrome.

Spent the next part of the afternoon by dropping my aunty off to Assunta Hospital to have her breast augmentation. She had breast cancer last year that's why. I journeyed through the air-condition-less corridors and tried to make it feel a big deal that this was where I lived my first days. I was born in Assunta Hospital! Apparently the doctor who delivered me was still working at the hospital. I don't suppose I'd get a "Wah!! Big girl already ah!" from him if I see him?

Really regret renting so many tvb series. I couldn't finish them and they were due tomorrow. *SOB*

I was at Tai Thong just now having dinner and suddenly my handphone rang. "Hello Jolene! You wouldn't believe this,".. Yes.. did I win something again?? "This is Vanitha!".. *Lil' bit of history: Classmate of mine in standard 2 and standard 3*.. "Oh hey Vanitha! Wassap?" "Um, I was just wondering ah, If I could come and see what spm books you have?", there I was posting my ad online (I stacked up my books and took pictures of them and sent them out to all those whom I think may be interested in purchasing them) and here comes an old friend whom I have no email address of. How can I make money this way? Would it be right to still charge her? :(

Had some fun with my new hair straightener/crimpler/curler..(It's a six-in-one!). I tried out the goldilocks style.(Ringlets). All I can say is that thank god I've got a straightener in it too.

My Dusty Sty

Here I am.. all alone in a new land. Empty and vast. The old blog server has taken to charging it's users. Didn't they know that (thanks to you guys..!) that my blog generated nearly 2000 counts? But nevermind. Heard that it's better here. We'll see!

Yesterday morning when Esther came over to wait for Elizabeth's dad to pick us up(to go sign up for undang), we had some fun with the computer:) Nigel was online and we fooled around with my dad's old webcam and my mic. With the MSN turned on, and the webcam+mic plugged in, Nigel could see us, Shi Ling and all!:) We started talking to him whereelse he replied only by typing. Muahahaha! Then with the mp3 on, we started singing. Bloody hell this monkey started insulting me.. what rearing ducks la.. pencemaran bunyi la.. GRrrRr! ;|

As soon as Elizabeth's dad came, we headed off to the driving school registration place! Thank god that the driving age as not been raised up to 21 years old! I'd just die!! I've been waiting for SOOO long and suddenly it's like another 5 years down the line. I cannot bear it.

Went for lunch with She Dee, Mun Teng, Su-Hsien and Esther. :) She kept us in a right panic about her "emergency news". Then stupid Mun teng took like an hour to come.. We became more anxious. Anyhow, I'd like to thank She Dee for her smart move. If it wasn't done this way, yes, salt and vinegar would be added to the story.

But let's talk happy!=D After lunch, (very spontaneously), we headed off to pyramid to save a Li Peng In Distress. Apparently she was quite upset with the presence of one of her friends. We shall not say who that was, shall we? After meeting her at the bowling alley alongside edison, wenbin and jiun haw... I headed off for some serious shopping with my two girls, Hsien and Esther. Bought a pair of Roxy flip flops from SDS!! And then some butterfly kitten-heels(i should think it is) from TSC! Blew a handsome RM80 away. But Mum submitted to my requesting her to sponsor half the amount. YeS!

Today has not been too much of a day for me. Cancelled a proposed Pyramid trip. Chinese shows on VCDs are the best anecdote for me. Sat until Priya(Pn. Vignes/Aunty Viki's daughter/My neighbour) came over to do her annual taking over my books thing.:) Now the stack has been reduced. Lessen the eyesore.

My room is quite clean.. now..i Must say. Been cleaning out all unused papers..(ie. tuition notes...) and there's like 3 black bags full of papers. My room needs a spray of something. Musky and dusty. The entire wardrobe is on the bed and I am going to sort them out according to style and colour.

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.

Hey, rhymes!
