Woman Fearer

Finally I attended an editorial board meeting. FINALLY. Karanbir appointed me as Team Leader for the Student Porch(an area for the photo session) during Wednesday's photoshoot. Shall do a Su-Chien and slop on some sunblock. I'll probably be due out the entire day and will have to skip all my classes. Oh golly gee poor me!

Chien was supposed to be with me but she would be in Australia on Wednesday( I KNOW. 0_0?!). This raised quite a few questions from the teacher advisors. Chien, if you're reading this, give me an sms.

During the ed meeting, I got closer to this girl called Doralisa. Nice girl! Very friendly. She was the one who was manning(womanning?) the spotlight for Hip Hopera. She didn't really talk to me much those three nights but today I realized she's actually quite nice!
We both teamed up to make the entire ed board BRIGHT FLUORECENT tags to be worn on the photoshoot day. I was using the idea Mel(permission Mel?) used for last year's GEMALA's ed board and that is to use a piece of cardboard and just scribble our names onto it. This is to enable us to identify each other amidst the throngs of students who would be moving all over the place for the photoshoot.

The entire board is gonna work like a police force on an operation. One member will be assigned to one floor at each block and will do the calling of classes, easing communiciation. We need to identify each other as we'll be running around. Hence, we need to create an identity for the board members.

We threw in a few suggestions:
1. wear all blue.
2. wear all white.
3. wear all black(never ever ever ever ever...i'll sizzle and melt and who'll scoop me up?)
4. shades (coolness..my suggestion) - rejected greatly by the bunch of boys in the ed board. which guy would pass up the chance to wear shades WITH a purpose?
5. cardboard tags(also my idea) and pasted on with ultra shiny silver paper-hence reflecting the sunlight, blinding everyone, easier to identify-but NoOooo. This suggestion of mine raised quite a few eyebrows.
6. tags with BRIGHT COLOURED STRINGS.

We finally decided on tags based on number 5 and number 6.
Doralisa and I will be doing it together, during the SPA dinner(that is IF I can hitch a ride from SWEeeeEt DaRrrLinGgGg KyLEeee..! *hint, hint*) on Sunday. Eh?! Haha.

Lunch today had me eating delicious KAI FAN.. mm..mm.. Soup and chicken rice gravy. HEAVEN. Min Dee came bouncing over to my table and I grabbed a chair next to her at another table and the both of fell into our usual gossipy rut. We saw a man whose pants was so low that we could see the crack of his ass. THANK GOD HE WASHES HIS ASS. I'm so grossed out.

FUCKING HELL. GUess what?!! I FOUND ANOTHER PIECE OF HAIR IN MY KAIFAN. But this one was thin and short. Aiyah, screw it la. Bits of pathogens won't harm me so much eh.. it will increase more B plasma and memory cells to build up my immunity. WhOohoo! More hair please!

Eu-Foh was so nice. He won 6 tickets to see Malaysian Idol and he called me and asked if I wanted to go!! Li Peng is going too. Wahh..I want to go but I can't..sob..sob.. exams are damn friggin' near.

Was half way chatting with some friends online and mum asked me to prepare dinner as she was busy. So I told them that I had to go as I have to prepare dinner.
These are some of the responses:

Miss Lai: ei dun go anywhere.. want to talk to u moreabout these stuffs. gotta wash rice and boil rice and cut food

Onions and lady fingers in (abit of) oyster sauce!!! Everything done BY MEEEEE...I even made the onion into rings!!

I think I'm an internet addict. Look how I took off my pants after a long day at college. .... And I'm SUPPOSED to be a girl.

The verdict is in: I had my dinner..and *gags*.. lady fingers are FREAKING SLIMY. I SLOPPED SO MUCH ONTO MY PLATE and had my usual habit of pouring my soup onto my rice and everything's so slimy and viscous... arghhh..*PUKKKKEEE*

Horrible Teenagers

Today it was only me, Chien, Barry, Kwo Kuang and Chun Guan who met up for lunch at Mee Yoke. As usual I would order my favourite Mee Soup like every other day. It has come to a point where I would just look at the Mee Soup Man and he would say, "Ah, mee soup!" and rush a bowl to me. :) I am happy, he is happy.

But today...today.. he has betrayed me. HE..HE is the cause of it all. HE has made me lose trust in the average hawkerman. HE only has HIMSELF to blame!! *pause for dramatic effect* I can never look at him in the eye again. I..I...just can't take it anymore. Everytime I look at him in the eye, I would have this sudden urge to throw up.

It's all because of a strand of hair in my soup.

I was shrieking as I dipped my chopsticks in to fish out the 3-inch hair and slopped it onto the side of my bowl and squealed in disgust for awhile more(do I sound annoying, no?) before everyone figured out what was wrong. chun Guan and Chien each ordered a bowl of Kuay Teow Soup from the same guy and was obviously disgusted too. The man came to give Chun Guan his change and I took a look at his hair and it was, UGH, either gelled or.. GOD FORBID, greasy.

Kwo Kuang being Kwo Kuang was trying his very best to put the worst thoughts in my head. Something along the lines of "He must be scratching his crotch while he was cooking and the piece of pubic hair that was stuck in his nail fell into the soup." .. I screamed and thew my head back in disgust before regaining my composure and said very seductively, "..Now I finally know what a REAL MAN taste like." Obviously everybody at the table were about to throw up anytime soon.

Chien was only half way through her Kuay Teow soup before pushing it away for good. This was after Kwo Kuang gave his hypothesis about how the man must've reached for something and dropped one of his armpit hairs into the soup!

I am still so disgusted. I hope that I won't be the cause of his bankcruptcy after posting this up. I do like Mee Soup very much. Nevermind, my second favourite dish in SS15 would be Success' Chicken Rice. Good stuff:)

I promised to go to parade with Mel to buy She Dee's present but due to the heavy downpour, the poor girl had to wait for me for nearly an hour plus. Did abit of window shopping and ABIT of real shopping. Abit IS abit. I bought a mini skirt from FOS! :D
Met Eugin and Khek Tjian who were shopping for a birthday present for one of their lovers. After that, Mel and I spent awhile laughing at the greeting cards at Memory Lane.

AND THAT'S WHEN I SAW IT!!!

Sandylion is finally back in MALAYSIA!!!!.. my love for Sandylion has been around for 12 years already and it is going strong!!! I started collecting stickers at the age of 5 and became quite a professional by age 8 and retired at age 11(when I bought the wrong sticker book(the stickers could not be removed), I was so depressed I decided to quit all together)

I was ooh-ing and aah-ing at all their Fuzzy and Prismatic range. (Do you know they now have fuzzy elephants, bears and tigers?!) I took the sticker album and flipped through and nearly had an orgasm seeing the latest designs for sticker albums. Mel then pulled me away and said loudly, "JOLENE, ARE YOU SURE YOUR NIECE WILL LIKE THAT?" I replied loudly, "NO MEL, IT'S FOR ME!"
Oh well, so much for her hardwork for trying to save me from embarassing myself.

After regaining our sanity, we bought She Dee's present and proceeded to Delifrance for a cuppa(hee) and felt it was ironic that right now, in a deliFRANCE, in MALAYSIA, two JAPANese men were having pastry and yakking over ENGLISH tea. By golly, we've gone global!

We waited for mum to pick us up and humoured ourself silly by telling each other stupid stories of recent times. She was telling me about her friend HUi Kean who had a friend whose english vocabulary was as hilarious as Kay Hong's(whose latest funny phrase is "let's have Oh-meh-lert." . He meant Omelette(Or-mer-lette.).) His friend asked him, "What does the word Busty mean?" Then Hui Kean and Lee Karl said, "Oh, it means muscular." Before you know it, he was going around flexing his muscles and saying, "Look, i'm SO busty."

My grandfather has been admitted to the hospital again because he felt some discomfort in his lungs. Before you start showering me with sympathy, I assure you, he is alright. Thank you very much. :)
My brother, cousin Shevie and I were entertaining ourselves by swapping jokes.
There was this other man in the same ward as my grandfather who was involved in an accident and had to have his face bandaged but he could still walk normally.
So I was saying, "Why did the Malaysian cross the road?" and then the man walked pass just as I said, "why, to see the accident across the road of course."..
I FELT DAMN BAD. MY BROTHER AND MY MOTHER WERE LAUGHING SO HARD..the silent laughs la.. obviously. It IS a hospital after all.

Then my cousin didn't understand, I explained to her and she was like, "Ohh icic. Eh..i got another story. If you want to beat a snake and a *certain group of people that I should not mention for fear of kena kantoi*..what should you do?".. We shook our head and she proceeded, "Take the snake and hit the *certain group of people*". Just then, the same man who belongs to the *certain group of people* walked by again.

We nearly died laughing and felt SO guilty and bad. Dahlah he got into an accident and has to stay in the hospital. He now has to hear us insulting him unintentionally. We are horrible, horrible people.

Left the hospital just in time for my 9.30pm chinese show and saw a group of toads lepaking by a bush outside Sunway medical. I've never seen so many frogs in one corner ever.

Medusa's Nose

It's back to college again after two weeks of break. WHEEE.

The first class I fell asleep for was Chemistry. My nose and the test paper that we were checking had about less than an inch in between them. Then my head bopped to the right, generating soft giggles from Barry and Arvind, my head bopped to the left, generating soft giggles from Su-Chien and Shi Wen. ;\

Today I was peering close at Chien's face and notice a tad bit of bumps, definitely invisible if you're talking to her as a normal person. (remember? I'm Jolene ma!) I voiced my concern and she was like, "YALO I'M DAMN WORRIED!!! I told my mother and my mother said, "HOR DIE LA DIE LA"".. ahahah. I told her if I could go around with a red dot on the tip of my nose (pimple scar), surely she would be able to with a couple of skin coloured miniscule bumps on the tip of her nose?

Seeing that she was so worried, I told her "Yalo.. eeyer, look like crocodile skin..bear's paw.. yuck  yuck!". She turned away, too pissed for words. I decided to cheer her up by showing her my special trick. I think this trick is what I did last year that brought about my nickname "Ku Lo Yuk"(fat fat meat) from fellow 5 Zetaians.

I took out my trustly blue Clean And Clear Oil Film and put it over the tip of my porous nose and pressed hard on both sides... and transparent dots could be seen forming on the oil film, hence grossing Chien out to the max. I removed the film revealing my gross white heads that made her shriek in horror. I was so amused and decided to continue.

I told her to peer closely at my nose. I squeezed my nose sans oil film and I knew this would happen: my white heads would wiggle out like toothpaste or, maggots if you like,(in chien's description). She looked at me in horror and closed her eyes and turned away and went, "AHhhhhhhHhhhhhhhhH!!" ..I was of course enjoying myself, laughing. Then she was like rubbing her eyes and sniffing.. AHAHAAHA.. I made her cry!!! LOL.. That was the funniest shit for such a long time. This girl cries when she watches those Plastic Surgery reality shows. Hahaha.

Later in the day she drew a pic of a girl with a pig nose and wiggly bits excreted out of the top of her nose and a picture of a stickman with a bundle of fluff at the crotch. She was referring to the two gross stuff that I've told her today. LOL. The stickman figure was about a mutual friend of ours who does something akin to bikini waxing.

*penyeeeet*

I'm quite sure that when I put this up, I will remain a spinster for life.

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.

Hey, rhymes!
