My Period Pains Part 80

My 80th period arrived this morning.

Since I have not eaten anything in the morning, I thought that it was unwise to take menstrual panadols on an empty stomach for fear that I may start retching. I don't want to break my record for not vomitting since the eve of my Penilaian Tahap Satu examination in std3(1996).

I decided that I could wait it out and have my lunch first before popping the pills. Mum suggested that we head over to SS19 for our lunch and it'd be convenient to go to Chien's place to get some biology test papers from her as well.

Upon reaching the chinese coffee shop, I ordered a bowl of Kuay Teow Soup and moodily shuffled over to the empty tables. I slumped on the chair and barked out for hot chinese tea. Nothing cold.

My food arrived and so did my drink. That's when the pain started. I looked at my food and attempted to press the spring onions into mush with my chopstick while waiting for that slight contraction to be over. However, the pain intensified. I had to lie on the table for awhile. Who cares if the salesman who was having his lunch was looking at me curiously? I don't care if the bunch of mechanics who were taking a break pointed fingers at me.

I started to moan in pain and was close to tears. There was a sharp pain shooting up and down my abdomen. Each time the pain shoots down I had to lift my bum off the chair and bear the pain. This repeated about at least 5 times. I thought I needed to go to the hospital.

My mum took forever to finish her (enticing)teh ais. I still had to go back to Chien's place to return her biology papers to her. I dived into the backseat and remained in a horizontal position until we reached home.

Upon arriving home, I half squat outside the grilled door while my mum fumbled with the keys. Once the doors were opened, I made a mad dash to the toilet and removed all forms of garments that covered me from the waist down.

I sat on the toilet bowl with my legs up.(trishaw puller style).
That's my comfortable position. It's not disgusting. Comfort outweighs grossness.

I was seriously contemplating on positioning my legs on the basin for maximum comfort which was just in front of the toilet bowl but decided that it would not go too well if there was residue on the sides of my toilet seat.

Apparently, the pain was so fucking great because I was suffering from shitting pains AND period pains. Oh the horror.

I lay my head on the sink while awaiting the nightmare to end and cold beads of sweat trickled down my forehead. My hair was loose and the scrunchie was dangling at the ends of my ponytail. My fringe was plastered all over the sides of my head. I bent down and a puddle of sweat formed on the bathroom tile.

I was too tired to wipe my own ass. It took every ounce of energy in my body to reach for the bidet to shoot my ass clean and I unravelled the tissue roll and dabbed myself dry. No prizes for guessing the colour of the tissue paper. It's not brown. Think Chinese New Year.

I pulled up my panties and my shorts and immediately ran out of the toilet because I needed to lie down. I turned on the hall fan and lay on the cold terrazo floor. You should have seen the many positions I contorted myself into in hopes of finding the ONE position that could ease the pain. My leg was tucked in on one side and my hand was pointing diagonally away from me. I lifted my tummy up and down but got tired soon after. I lay on my tummy, the pain intensified. My mother kept asking me to eat my pau so that I can eat my medicine. But I told her I didn't have the energy to sit up, let alone eat a pau.

Angel was very kind. She hovered over me and licked my hands and looked at me with so much concern I felt like hugging her but I was in so much pain. She lay by my side throughout the entire half an hour that I was wriggling and moaning on the floor. She has a good heart, that dog. Despite her greedy and hamsap ways.

The pain intensified to a greater extent and I actually wondered if anybody ever died from period pains. Empty stomach or not, I popped two pink menstrual panadols and ran up the stairs(once again, the need to lie down outweighs the amount of energy left in my body) and lay spread eagled on my parent's bed. My mum took out a plastic mat and placed it beneath my ass so that I will not stain her bed. The aircon cooled my body temperature down and I felt at ease.

I swear by pink menstrual panadols. Within half an hour, my mind wandered off to something else and I realized I totally forgot about the pain and it wasn't bothering me! I slipped into a peaceful slumber for an hour and when I woke up, the pain was gone!

Cheerful once more, I bounced down the stairs and grabbed the two paus, turned the tv on to watch the Riches and Stitches repeat on Wah Lai Toi.

Now, back to the biology books.

Kimberlycun and Kennysia.

A flying ant dropped by on my note pad. I thought it only crawls so I was nudging it and I nearly died of fright when it flew up.

The classmates illuminating leaf extracts.

Chien and her experiment!

Camwhoring can happen ANYWHERE.

Told you. (Was in awe by the size of the volumetric flask..omg, 5000ml? 0_0)

I love this picture!!

Broken glass heaven. I love this picture too.. !

The classmates with mr. Rajah.

Heading back for classes..

The view from outside the biology lab!

Spent one of our last lunches at Peppercorn.

After lunch, Darvin and Garrick(the two tiny figures in the picture who didn't wait for me) showed me a shortcut back to college. It was not that much of a shortcut, but it was quite a pretty one! I love clean back alleys.

The back of the My Place hostel/apartment.

For keepsake.

I want to go out.....

Chien coming for class, late as usual..

Apparently I'll miss Taylor's.

l-r: Victor, Rosalind, Me and Timothy.

Barry and Me. Hehe, I snapped before he was ready.

Ok lah, bagi chance.

Must be the exam stress.

Apparently two thirds of the class are bonafide camwhores. And the remaining third are hard core studying/lazy to come for the last ever class of their A-Level's course.

Good luck to all A-Levels' mates who are sitting for A2 on Monday!!

Last Week Of College Pt. I

I'll be dividing my entire folder of photos that I took in the last week into TWO entries. Heheh. Yeah, that's a sign for you to go make yourself a nice cold glass of Ribena and then maybe cook a maggi mee and come back to see if the pics are done loading. But shouldn't be that bad a problem lar since Shutterfly.com helps me resize 'em.

Um, by the way, I'm SUCH a hypocrite. I'm going for the prom. And YOU KNOW WHAT? APPARENTLY OUR TABLE IS THE ONLY TABLE THAT HAS CONFIRMED FOR PROM. AND I'VE PAID. *#^$#($^%$%$&%$(*%$&%$(%$&%$&%$..

Remember the old hag in my bedroom? Well, she died. So I have to make do with the family hall. Dad(yellow chair) and I(blue chair) will be back to back when he does his surfing on the old computer and me studying.

My blood sugar level had to be kept at a constant (high)level to enable me to sit through the studying sessions. Groan. I officially hate M&Ms.

Our last lab experiment. That's me pouring potassium dichromate(VI) into the burette.

An 'artistic' shot of our lab apparatus.

l-r: Shi Wen, Lie Yuen, Gan, Joanne, Mr. Murani, Me

Chien, making a move after chemistry.

Me and Jocelyn

The dark alley that is perpetually cold.

Jia Lin's Pink Things (Part 1)

Me and Jia Lin. We've gotten used to her pinkness.

Hwee Yin and Me

Shi Wen and Me

Man and wife. Haw, haw. But it does look like it eh? Kekeke.

Deborah and Me

Me and Michael

My dear Prema and Me

The "chau kong" staircase in Taylor's College. I'm serious, I've seen a lycra dark blue underwear, lacy pink ones, the conventional white one, a black sexy one and the world has probably seen my Winnie The Pooh panties.(My dad's colleague thought his daughter was still in Primary school, but I politely accepted the present as I was running out of undies..) I am just extremely grateful the girls who wear G-strings in college do not wear skirts and walk near the railings.

The contents of my bag. Not seen in picture are house keys, pink panadol and handphone.

Garrick and Han Chung under the sunlight. Nice.

Me and Siau Ying

The folks at PM9 walking out for lunch.

Walking down for lunch, we bumped into Kwo Kuang. :D

Gan, the ever faithful McD's patron. She was tapau-ing McD's to join us at Burger King.

Kay Hong and Me. After "ending" his stint at Buy Sell Trade, he is now with Aus Ed.

The nice willowy trees in the Sri KL Primary school. Taken from the 3rd floor of Taylor's College.

My beloved Chicken porridge!! They ran out of yau char kwai so I had to go down to the other coffeeshop(Mee Yoke) to buy sweet yau char kwai. Eew, but it did it for me.

I'm gonna miss my chicken porridge.. *Air liur meleleh* But thank god I stay in Subang.

I have spread the art of camwhoring to the best of them.

This is Jocelyn's hair/spikes.

This is Darwin's hair...

This is Garrick's hair...

....and this is Han Chung's hair. Don't they look like microscopic images?

Li Shen and Me.

Prema, Li Shen and Siau Ying

Me and Rudi

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.

Hey, rhymes!
