Jumping On The Hiatus Bandwagon

I know my parents will be overjoyed when they read this: I have decided to stop blogging until my exams are over. There'll be the 8th of June 2005. Yeah, take that.

This A2 exam is really no joke. It's the equilavent of STPM..so I cannot sit back and take things easy.

Blogging has always been a place for me to let loose(I am sure that THAT is very obvious) and just share my happier moments with my friends and the rest of the world. Like any other bloggers out there, I am extremely happy when I receive comments to some brain regurgitation of mine.

But blogging really takes up too much of my time and if you say, "Aiyah, 15 minutes only what..". Yeah. 15 minutes. See how crappy the last two posts are? I don't want to feel guilty for spending time in front of the computer when I should be absorbing as much as I can from the mountains of books I have piled up next to me as I type.

I have achieved quite a good momentum in my study progress(semangat sial!) and I don't want to waste any more time. Oh my god, did I just say that?

This will (hopefully) be the longest break I have ever taken from blogging ever since I started exposing myself to the WWW on Nov 2003.

I need to stop blogging because the more I blog, the more comments I get, which is proportional to the amount of times I check to see if I have any comments which is proportional to the amount of hours I DON'T spend on studying which causes an exponential rise in the amount of bad grades obtained.

Due to the exams, I have to cut down on the things I love doing:

1. Chinese shows from 8.30-10.30pm on Astro
2. Blogging
3. Yamcha with friends
4. Shopping with friends
5. Swimming
6. Singing in the bathroom
7. Raiding the fridge
8. Eating dinner in front of the tv from 8-8.30pm.
9. Read the essential blogs (time taken is approximately 15-20 minutes tops).

24 hours in a day. 6 hours for sleep. 7 hours of classes. Half an hour for dinner. 20 minutes online. 13 hours and 50 minutes. Oklah, about 14 hours not studying. That leaves 24-14=10 hours on studying. Laugh? I am forcing myself. So, don't laugh. I managed 3.30-8pm. and then 8.30pm - 12.00am. Ok what? After this I need to study abit of chemistry.

I will miss having my friends telling me that their friends talked about my blog. I will miss making new friends through my blog. I will miss trying to make people laugh at the stupid things I say. I will miss lagging your computers with the amount of photos I put up.

But I suppose this will all be worth it once the exams are over. At least I'll be guilt free.

And let's give my photobucket account a break. The fucking account's been exceeding barely a week after every reset. Problem will be fixed after the 8th of June.

So till then! Wish me luck and hope I have the will power to refrain from this art of time consumption.

Perhaps I will return sometime this one month period if something makes me REALLY angry or REALLY sad or REEEEEALLLLLY funny. (Now a days everything and everybody very serious, because exams coming, so, fat chance. Ha.).

No photos because no outings.

Ok, back to being a full blown nerd. Don't forget me!!! :(

My Aircon Is Menopausing

I've had ENOUGH of that old hag.

Everytime I turn her on she spits freon water(?) at me. I have to hover over my baby laptop to protect my baby from getting short circuited. The stupid bitch then grumbles in a very annoying tone about her woes of the hot weather. Like I want to hear like that.

I wait patiently for her temperature to cool down. Sometimes it takes an hour plus for my aircon to cool the room with her mediocre coolness. I'd be so sweaty that I'd head into the bathroom for a shower and OH, when I come out, I'd find my room a few celcius degrees lower because the old hag is bored decides that it'd be funny to see me shivering in my skin. I would talk to it in cantonese sarcastically and say something like, "Chuen seng le meh?"(Change attitude already meh?). Yes, I actually do.

But you know what?? These days she doesn't even cool down. She keeps churning hot air into my whole room and my room is officially furnace-like.

I cannot study because of the extremely stuffy condition my room is in.

Actually, the blame should go to the STUPID aircon men who came TWICE to "FIX" my aircon yet to no avail. Haiyoh, if that's your job, you should be smart enough to know what's the problem the first time right? They are coming again for the third time tomorrow.

Fuck, my armpits are sweating. *licks*. Ahahaha. Just joking. *takes tissue and daintily wipes, like how a lady should.*

I've brought my books down to study. The only thing that's keeping me sane is the traditional standing fan all malaysian homes have. I seem to get more work done under warmer conditions. Hm. I actually finished one chemistry option paper in one sitting. Due to the fact that the kitchen is only a few steps away, I've been raiding the fridge the entire day and have eaten 27 grapes, 5 longans, 9 mini Lindt chocolates, one and a half bowl of herbal soup, 5 glasses of cold water, 2 sips of pepsi, 1 sip of my brother's Ribena(shh!) and 2 grape mentos.

ARGHH. *plays with flab under chin. and on tummy. and on arms. and on thighs. feels proud of new found (additional)flab in mammary area*

When I feel warm, I drink water. When I drink water, I feel unsatiated. When I feel unsatiated, I become peckish. When I try to suppress my peckishness, I cannot study. When I cannot study, I will do badly in my exams. Therefore I eat. Because at first I felt warm. I feel warm because my beloved aircon is on strike.

Who the fuck is responsible for the strike? The blind aircon repairmen who only came last week.

Slippin' Tongues

At about 6pm I went to KFC in SS15 to get my dinner as my family will be having dinner at Pyramid. Too time consuming!

I was at the counter and I asked the counter guy if I could have the value meal number 2.

Two seconds later I realized that the term value meal is used in McD's.

In KFC they call it "individual meals."

Oh.

I have a tendency of doing this quite abit. Take for example the time in Starbucks. I'd ask for an Ice Blended Mocha and the counter girl would say, "Um, I'm sorry, Ma'am, but that's Coffeebean.."

Malunye aku..

I ALWAYS embarass myself in front of these shopping mall-ish staff. There was a time I bought an RM3 bubble tea and gave RM50 to the lady. She had to take the escalator to come after me to return me my RM47. -_-;.

I also have a tendency to show that I'm a cheapskate. I have become more affectionate towards The Body Shop ever since the Sunway Pyramid branch sold the strawberry lotion without the labels to me for only RM10. What a steal right?
I was at the KLCC branch last month and this senior-ish staff grabbed my hand and said, "Miss, would you like to try our new exfoliating salt?" and proceeds to dab exfoliating salt on my hand and gently scrubs it in a cute sink in the middle of the shop as I gave her the much expected "Ooh"s and "Aahh"s. Just because I stayed around for her to scrub my hand, it doesn't mean I'm buying her product. After the scrub, I actually asked her if she's got any products that are going cheap because they are without labels.. she looked at me weirdly and said, "erm, no...." and I said, "oh ok.." and explained to her about my experience at the Sunway Pyramid branch and she said again,"sorry, miss... No.."

Oh dear. And I said, "Oh okay then.... um, It's ok, I don't think I'm getting it. Maybe later." I walked out of the shop... no byes from her! Nothing! hahaha. I'm hated!

Sorry to digress but, as you know, I love sharing my latest weird dreams.

I dreamt that Chien moved into this big house. It's huge with panels of glass everywhere as windows. It looked nothing like a conventional house. It had a very artistic feel to it. Something only the most creative architects can conjure. I remember going over to visit her in the afternoon and returning home for my birthday party later in the evening.

I went home after awhile and had the urge to poo.

Before I could head to the toilet, my mother told me that Chien passed away in the afternoon. I was horrified because I only saw her in the afternoon. Apparently she jumped through one of those large glass panels(I knew they were a bad idea) from the 16th floor due to stress. Then an image of her breaking the glass and jumping through the hole and free-falling from the 16th floor flashed across my eyes. I started to cry and cry and cry.

I still went to the toilet to have a shit and I don't know who was standing next to me in the toilet but we were shitting together and my hair had shit and stuff. I poo-ed too long and I knew my birthday party has already started but I couldn't leave the toilet bowl as I was still shitting. When I was finally done with my poo, it was 11pm in the night and I went downstairs to discover that nobody was around. My mum told me that my friends came but they all left as it was getting too late. I felt so sad.

LOL I KNOW. What a weird dream. I always get weird dreams. No meaningful ones. When I woke up, I immediately smsed Chien and told her about my bad dream. She told me she had an awful one too.. something about us being extremely full of ourselves and trying to get rid of her. She also said that in her dream Mel had a job offer from Female and was being a pain about it. LOL. Don't worry Mel, it's not like that in real life. We love you just the same!

We both wondered if it was the food from TGIF. Must ask the rest of the girls if they had any weird dreams too.

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.

Hey, rhymes!
