If it wasn't for my daily nescafe fix, my notes would look like crap as there'll be little sperms all over the page. (ink blots that get flicked as I keep nodding off).

Lie Yuen was demonstrating to me what her brother used to do as a child with the laundry basket.

We are currently learning about oral biology and for every two students, there is a set of plastic teeth from Japan to be shared. This is so that we can study the shape of the tooth, the cusps, the ridges, the roots, the junction between the enamel and the dentin etc. But it's good to camwhore with as well.

You know, one thing good about having a camera(and bringing it with you whereever you go), is that you do not have to slave away copying the diagrams and notes during the really rushed practical sessions! :) Just snap snap with the 5 mega pixels camera and put it in the computer and voila, instant notes.

Actually, it was a joint birthday party for Justin and his 17 year old brother, Aaron. But Aaron left with a few of his friends and didn't even stay around for the cake cutting session. Strange... somemore the cake wrote, "Happy birthday Justin and Aaron!".

Before the cake cutting session, Chee Kiang and I went to the padang for some "catching up" since we haven't seen each other for quite a while... then when we came back we kena scolded by Daryl from the end of the road(we were at the other end, walking back), "HOI!! Not your birthday la today!!! Go paktor during people's birthday somemore!!!"

I was awake for more than an hour before my classes started. I managed to copy every single damn thing the bullet-train Indian lecturer blasted at us and woooohooo my notes were in demand man. MY notes were in demand.

This might not seem much, but coming from the girl who falls asleep for more than 10 minutes in almost every class(but I've got a digital recorder to back me up, no worries)...this is a major achievement. So just humour me, can?

Shifting house is a major hassle.

 
We decided to eat at somewhere nice for our first meal as NON-Hostelites with the other classmates who were staying around our new housing area.

We ate at this place called Le Boss in Lagenda Heights(an area with loads of shop lots). Yes, yes, Kedah got such things.

On Thursday we had a 5 hours break before our sociology class(yes, why do I even need sociology classes is beyond me). And it was the opening day for Final Destination 3. This marks the first ever movie I've watched in Kedah!(scribbles date in diary).

And this is how the opening day of Final Destination 3 in Sungai Petani looks like. 9 of us went for the movie and we had one whole row to ourselves plus the luxury of putting our legs up on the row in front and screaming and clapping without being a nuisance. Final Destination 3 is all about decapitating. Lovely pattern this time around though. Everyone stayed far away from my camera after the movie.

 
The Vincci in Sg. Petani was on sale. YES. Miracles happen in the strangest of places. Bought these lovely babies for 50% off. RM37!!


I could rub it all over my face, neck, skin, arms, stomach.....sniffing the newness of the tweed-pretending-to-be-velvet finishing propagates me with waves and waves of euphoria...*sniffffffffffff*


I refused to do any laundry before the arrival of The Washing Machine.


A little something to decorate my room with. I brought this photo to show my housemates quite sometime ago and forgot to bring it back to the photo album. This is Mervyn at 0 years old. Fat and heavy. Like a lump of pork! His digits had yet to be formed(See the Doraemon like hands).

The almighty satisfactory chiropracter-visits-free washing machine. The three of us fight over who gets to press the buttons and pour the soap powder in...etc. RM580.


Our beautiful fridge. I open the door and stare at the peachy glow from its lamp and let the cool air sooth my troubles away..


Oh!! Our first catered meal. Lovely stuff. It's like homecook food, only better!(heh, kidding mum!) But there's even herbal soup, herbal egg, poli sang choi, chee yuik etc. All we have to do is leave our tiffin carrier on the pillar and we have dinner at 6.30pm sharp. RM5.50 per meal.

After our first catered meal, we decided to check out the playground next to our house! Some boys from uni were playing basketball there. They play there every evening. Yeah, the housing area that I'm in has ALOT of students from AIMST. I'd say about 20%.

You'll know when you're wayyyy over the age limit for playgrounds is when your legs are as long as the playground ladder.


I used to do this alot as a kid. Balance, balance, balance and then kena marah by grandmother.

While I was doing sit ups(no photos, later my market value go down like shit), Lie Yuen peered at me and asked me whether I wanted to go home already or not. I saw the moon behind her and snapped this picture. So nice right!!


Perhaps one of my best shots to date. The effect is damn nice!! I asked Lie Yuen to stand behind the yellow glow of the street lamp, and the tree and the evening sky as a backdrop on slow shutter speed worked wonders!

I checked my abandoned hotmail account and sure enough there was an email there! Thanks Liz for giving me this opportunity!! (gmail's the active one, people!)

After rushing for a couple of hours for the article and doing a bout of camwhoring...I managed to send it to her on Wednesday and ta daaaa...

No! I don't have a mole there! Printing error! At least I hope that it was only MY copy that has got that black mark there. But it's a small price to pay for having my mug to appear on the national papers.:) I can't find the link to this article though, maybe there isn't one. Found it!

I was doing some comparing with my original article. I suppose the editor thought that my version was too crude. In the second last paragraph, I wrote, "Could the transition be from the moment you thought that the stains on your underpants were spaggheti sauce or the moment you put on your first slick of lip gloss?"

It has been changed to, "When does one turn into a woman? Your first period? Your first slick of lip gloss?"

Liz asked me for the contacts of two indian girls below the age of 25 to be interviewed(page2/3) and immediately, Narjit and Gaya popped into my head. :)  Nice photos of the two girls there with their extensive views on women today.
