The Day After

Being 17 hasn't felt so much yet.. :) It kind of takes the fun away when all your friends are a year older or more as you've already experienced the stuff you expect to experience at this age.. so let's just pretend I'm 18 already!

I woke up and was running late for college yesterday. And then I remembered, "oh! shit! Gotta pick Barry up too!" at 7.35am I rushed out of the house with mum to Barry's.. upon reaching there, he wasn't out of his house yet.. so we gave a few honk and waited. Then I saw Nimalan outside..and he was like, "aiks! what are u doing here?".. then I said, "Picking Barry to college! u?" Then it dawned on us that we were both supposed to fetch him to college. Nimalan and I were like, "Okay, who pick him lar?"...then we started one-two-joozing in front of Barry's housy until Barry came out.Barry you know very well it is humanly impossible to split your body into two partions. Then barry came out and he was like, "OH NO I FORGOT YOU WERE FREE ON FRIDAY MORNING.".. Barry, of course I'm available on Friday mornings. Everyone is free on Friday mornings. So I was like, "So you're coming or not?" then he looked like he had a tough time deciding.. so I just closed my window and told my mum who was quite hesistant to drive away because she didn't think it'd be nice to speed off.. but I can't afford to be nice when the college is at 8am and the time was 7.50am!! I had to walk across the pedestrian crossover and then walk up to Taylors...!! So we left Nimalan to fetch barry to college. After a bit of a fuss I calmed down.. so yes, barry you're forgiven. I think barry was too shy to ask me for a lift back home(as was planned, again)..he decided to follow Nigel and Esther.

After college, Hui Yi who is from Perak and whom I met during the Interact conference back in 2001 came over to do her nails for CNY! I hope she likes it... then I walked her back to the pedestrian crossing to Taylors and cycled back. I was a mess.. what with the hands gripping on to the dusty bicycle handles.. the bicycle has been in the shade for nearly a million years... I then brought it to Caltex to pump some air on it's flabba-flabba-flabba tires. Having never used a tire pump before.. I was looking for the device or button to control the air that goes in..(the knob was obscure) ..so I reached over to fiddle with the flippy floppy stuff behind the tire pump and A LOUD GUSHING SOUND started to rasp!! I was so scared I hurriedly switch it back. Then I asked for help.. but he was already heading towards me anyway.. and turned the knob to 20Pascal and hehe, what dya know? My tire is filled with air.

Then after a nice smooth cycle home I understand why Teng Choon like to cycle home.. it was so peaceful and cooling.. but honestly, I was a mess. My hair was in chicken rice style, and a huge strip of oil lined my T-zone..I'd believe that there was soot on my face too from all those carbon..and my hand was dotted brown from the rust and dust of the bicycle. Upon turning into my row, I bumped into Teng Choon and a friend of his, Darren. Oh god.. .. so I stuck my hand out upon introduction and .. the poor guy, obviously oblivious to my dotty brown palm shook my hand politely. Made small talk to Teng Choon about stuffs ie. my birthday.. then I cycled back home in a cloud of shame, dust and rust.

Now i'm in Malacca awaiting the bathroom to be available.. there's my granddad's annual company dinner later and all the cousins will be there except the two oldest ones who are in US.

I'm looking for a peach or white or even yellow short cheong sam for this new year. KL HERE I COME. On wednesday. Who wants to join me say Aye!

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.

Hey, rhymes!
