Bye Bye!

It has been a good 2 years and 10 months over here.

This entry would be my 623th and I'm leaving blogdrive. I thank you for all the fun and convenience(and the occasional server down times) that blogdrive has given me.

An avenue to be myself and maybe even become that someone I never really thought I could be before opening this blog.

A reason to keep in touch with friends.

A reason to make so many more friends.

A photoalbum filled with almost every waking moment of mine.

A journal that chronicled my thoughts, ideas, weirdness and experiences of sorts.

... I've enjoyed every single bit of blogging.

I guess it's time.

fooled ya, didn't I?

To commemorate this (grand) occasion, i'd like to hear a word or two from friends and silent readers alike in the comments about your earliest memory of me and my blog and REMEMBER TO CHRISTIAN THE COMMENT BOX OVER AT MY NEW BLOG TOO YEAH?

Do remember to change your links, but I'll be going around and bugging you lot too.

It's not often that you would come across a website which caters to a specific genre of women - Heartbroken women. is different from other websites It might seem like a dating website at first it actually caters to women who have been abused or had their hearts broken.

There are even tips on how to spot a cheating husband. They teach you how to catch your cheating bastard by using all kinds of methods - old and new. You are even introduced to a few programmes called keyboard loggers that can track what your other half is doing on the computer. Alot of men are prone to visiting dating websites to chat up other women, and these programmes can be used to uncover their tracks.

Another cool method to see if your other half is having a little hanky panky outside is by using this thing called an Infidelity Test Kit. It can detect sperm stains which up to 2 years old(tsk tsk, the child would've learnt to walk by then) within minutes. I don't know how that works but I thought this was quite an interesting tidbit from

On the website, there are also stories about cheated women, rape and molested women, stories from men, women who have been physically abused by men and of course, the dating horror stories from women all over. Do watch out for the story about the boyfriend who gets his rocks off by dressing as a cheerleader.

One of the most amusing feature of is its Rate A Guy page. Thousands and thousands of men have been entered into their database by angry women. It works as a way of sorts to warm prospective women to avoid these guys should they ever come across them in the future. Most of the men listed use dating websites online to find more women to fool around with. I'm quite happy that something like that has been done to further protect naive women from falling into the arms of bastards and the likes.

I was particularly engrossed with the stories at the message board. Especially the abuse stories. It was so heartwrenching to read about women in their late 50s finding out that they've actually been married to male chauvinist pigs all these years.

Even if you can't relate to what the women over at go through, it still makes a damn good read.

Dental Scholarship Opportunities In The United States

This is another sponsored post, thanks to the wonders of, which by the way, sends real money. (I've received my first cheque!!)

It's no surprise that dental education these days can cost an arm and a leg. Even more so if you have siblings who are younger than you who want to go to the UK to study law. *cough cough*

A website called Scholarships Around The US offers Dental Scholarship Opportunities to those who are interested to study dentistry in the United States. However, this scholarship is only available to U.S citizens.(don't look at me like that, IS a US based company after all) and having a PR in the US does not qualify you for the scholarship.

However, this nugget of an information could be of use if any of you have relatives or friends in the United States who are very passionate about a career in dentistry.

I think it is rather kind of the American Dental Association to offer $2,500 to students who are pursuing their 2nd year and are facing financial difficulties.

Do check out the American Dental Association's list of scholarships listed on the website. It will be a spark of hope for that future dentist US citizen friend of your's. Such an envious difference from the scarce dental scholarships here in Malaysia. (Only JPA so far, I think.). They even offer scholarships for research projects which include travel fees as well.

Dental Scholarship Opportunities focuses on helping out the academically inclined and the not-so-well to do students to pursue their dreams of becoming a dentist.

Notably, the United States has a vast variety of minority groups and they are, and should be treated as equals in the United States. Dental Scholarship Opportunities notices these groups of people and are giving eligible applicants the chance to apply for a scholarship from any one of their Minority Dental Scholarships listed on their website.

The reason being that the United States would like to reach out to all the minority groups in the United States to improve their oral health. It's going to be difficult for an old Japanese lady when she hobbles into a dentist's office and not being able to tell the dentist exactly what is wrong with her teeth. Communication problems and all. Language is always a barrier. It's always a good idea to learn more languages as more communication = more money.

To name a few, there are the scholarships from Japanese American Citizen League, Chinese American Medical Society and Indian Health Service Scholarships. They also have the American Dental Association's Minority Scholarship Program. The United States really takes good care of their people.

*twiddles thumbs idly while waiting for a Malaysian Chinese Dental Student Scholarship to be set up in my homeland. But who am I kidding. Most Malaysian dental students, who are not on scholarship(and I assume JPA is the only one), are on the MAFA funds. MAFA stands for Mother Father study grant.

If you know of anybody who are studying dentistry in the University of Florida College Of Dentistry and  University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, ask them to head over to the website. There are School-specific scholarships over there.

Hi, my name is Jolene and if there is a question in your head, this answer will definitely answer it: I was wrong and irrational. I was being a woman.

Jolene Lai, Jolene Lai,
Came to life in January and not July,
She is 19 years of age,
Can't wait to earn her own wage,
This dental student is home sick,
Will never be in Kedah for more than three weeks.

Subang Jaya is where she's from,
The only place she'll ever call home.
Has a boyfriend, a brother and a dog,
The things she says can give you a shock.

Especially for her father, who always gets a heart attack when he reads this blog.
